Your journey begins with a night-time pick-up from your hotel, heading straight to the starting point at the foot of the mountain. Accompanied by an experienced, licensed local trekking guide, you will start the ascend along the volcanic trails under the starry night sky.
Upon reaching the summit (1,717 meters above sea level) just before dawn, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama above the clouds as the sun paints the sky in brilliant hues of gold and orange. While taking in the view, enjoy a unique breakfast cooked right on the volcanic steam vents. After exploring the main crater ridges, you will descend safely while enjoying the magnificent morning daylight scenery.

Important Information

The temperature at the Mount Batur summit can drop significantly (around 10°C or lower with strong winds); wearing layers and a warm jacket is mandatory.
Moderate physical fitness is required as the hike involves walking uphill on volcanic gravel and steep paths for about 2 hours.
